Biography:
PeiJu Chien-Pott is a Taiwanese-American award-winning dance artist who has made a significant impact in the world of modern dance. Born in 1984 in Taoyuan, Taiwan, Chien-Pott discovered her passion for dance at a young age and began training at the age of five. Her dedication and talent led her to pursue a career in dance, eventually establishing herself as one of the greatest living modern dancers of her generation.
Chien-Pott’s formal dance education began when she joined the Taipei National University of the Arts’ seven-year dance program developed by Lo Man-fei. Under the guidance of esteemed dance professionals, she honed her skills and expanded her artistic horizons. One of her most influential teachers was renowned choreographer Merce Cunningham, with whom she continued her dance studies.
Throughout her career, Chien-Pott has worked with a diverse range of dance companies and choreographers.
