Viktoria Rebensburg is a German former alpine skier who was born on October 4, 1989, in Kreuth. She gained recognition for her exceptional skills in the giant slalom discipline. Throughout her career, Rebensburg achieved remarkable milestones and became an Olympic champion, a World Cup winner, and a prominent figure in women’s alpine skiing.
Even in her youth, Rebensburg showcased her talent on the slopes and caught the attention of the German Ski Association. In 2003, she joined the C-squad of the association due to her remarkable performances in children’s and youth races. At the young age of 14, she competed against international competitors and emerged victorious.
In 2006, Rebensburg made her World Cup debut in the combined event at the Reiteralm. Just a few weeks later, she secured her first top-ten finish by placing seventh in the giant slalom in Zwiesel. Her strong performances in the Super-G and Giant Slalom events in the European Cup earned her a spot in the German Ski Association’s nomination for the 2007 World Championships in Åre. Surprisingly, Rebensburg finished in eighth place in the giant slalom, showcasing her potential on the international stage.

Her success continued in the World Cup circuit, where she secured her first podium finish with a second-place finish in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
