Biography:
Syuri Kondo, better known by her ring name Syuri, is a Japanese professional wrestler, shoot boxer, kickboxer, and mixed martial artist. She was born on February 8, 1989, in Ebina, Kanagawa. Syuri’s diverse skill set and accomplishments in multiple combat sports have made her a prominent figure in the world of women’s fighting.
Syuri’s journey in martial arts began during her primary school years when she started practicing karate. Her talent and dedication led her to win numerous titles in the sport. In addition to karate, Syuri also excelled in track and field sports during junior high school and played tennis in high school. She proved to be a well-rounded athlete from a young age.
After graduating from high school, Syuri ventured into the world of modeling for fashion magazines and worked as a movie extra. However, her true passion lay in combat sports. She seized the opportunity to enter the professional wrestling industry when she successfully auditioned for the renowned promotion, Hustle. It was here that she adopted the ring name KG, an abbreviation for Karate Girl.
On October 26, 2008, Syuri made her professional wrestling debut in a match for Hustle. Teaming up with HG & RG, she defeated Big C, Onigumo, and Piranha Monster. Syuri quickly caught the attention of Japanese wrestling legend Tajiri, who recruited her into his stable, the Hustle Union Army. Within the stable, she formed a tag team with Banzai Chie and engaged in an intense intergender rivalry with Rey Ohara. When Hustle ceased operations in late 2009, Syuri moved on to the promotion Smash, established by former Hustle performers Akira Shoji and Tajiri. In 2014, Syuri transitioned from professional wrestling to shoot boxing, making her debut in the sport. In March 2014, she became the inaugural Krush Women’s Flyweight Champion, solidifying her position as one of the best in the division.

Syuri’s well-rounded skill set and determination did not go unnoticed, as she became the inaugural Strawweight Queen of Pancrase in May 2017.
