Princess Beatrice, Mrs Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (Beatrice Elizabeth Mary; born 8 August 1988), is a member of the British royal family. She is the elder daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York. She is a niece of King Charles III and a granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II. Born fifth in line of succession to the British throne, she is now ninth. She has a younger sister, Princess Eugenie.
Beatrice was born on August 8, 1988, at the Portland Hospital in London. She was the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, and the fifth grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Her baptism took place on December 20, 1988, in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace, with Viscount Linley, the Duchess of Roxburghe, Peter Palumbo, Gabrielle Greenall, and Carolyn Cotterell as her godparents.
