Michela Moioli, born on July 17, 1995, is an Italian snowboarder who made history as an Olympic champion in snowboard cross at the 2018 Summer Olympics in Pyeongchang. Moioli’s journey in the sport has been filled with remarkable achievements, inspiring moments, and challenging setbacks.
Moioli’s early success can be traced back to her participation in the EYOF in Liberec in 2011, where she placed 6th in snowboard cross and 17th in parallel giant slalom. That same year, she showcased her talent at the Junior World Championships held in Chiesa in Valmalenco, finishing 5th in snowboard cross. These initial achievements marked the beginning of a promising career.
At the age of 17, Moioli made her World Cup debut in December 2012, setting the stage for her future accomplishments. Despite her young age, Moioli displayed immense talent and determination in the sport, earning two bronze medals at the World Junior Championships.
