Kuo Hsing-chun, born on November 26, 1993, in Yilan, Taiwan, is a Taiwanese Amis weightlifter who has left an indelible mark on the sport. She is an Olympic gold medalist, five-time world champion, two-time Universiade champion, Asian Games champion, and five-time Asian champion. Kuo competes in the weightlifting division, starting in the 58 kg category until 2018 and transitioning to the 59 kg category after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the weight classes.
Though Kuo Hsing-chun is celebrated for her incredible achievements in weightlifting, her journey to success was not without its share of challenges. Born in 1993, Kuo never knew her biological father and was primarily raised by her hardworking grandmother. Her mother, frequently occupied with work, was often unable to be present in her life.
