Jessica Rakoczy (born April 14, 1977) is a professional boxer and professional mixed martial arts fighter from Hamilton, Ontario, and a seven-time women’s lightweight boxing champion of the world.
Boxing Career:
Rakoczy began her professional boxing career in October 2000 and quickly made a name for herself in the sport. With a record of 33 wins, 3 losses, and one no contest, she has proven herself to be a formidable opponent in the ring. Rakoczy is a three-time WIBA (Women’s International Boxing Association) World Champion and a two-time former WBC (World Boxing Council) Lightweight Champion. She has also held the IBA (International Boxing Association) Women’s Lightweight Championship, NABA (North American Boxing Association) Women’s Lightweight Championship, NABF (North American Boxing Federation) Female Lightweight Championship, and the WIBA Intercontinental Lightweight Championship.
One of Rakoczy’s most notable achievements in her boxing career was winning the vacant WIBA Women’s International Boxing Association super bantamweight title with a victory against Ada Vélez on January 24, 2013.
