Jayna Hefford (born May 14, 1977) is a Canadian retired ice hockey player and current chairperson of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association. She made a significant impact in the world of hockey throughout her career, leaving a lasting legacy not only as a player but also as a champion for women’s hockey.
Hefford started her sporting journey in the sport of ringette but quickly transitioned to ice hockey, where she would ultimately thrive. Her dedication and talent led her to achieve remarkable success, both at the international level and in various professional leagues.
