Deng Yaping (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Dèng Yàpíng; born February 6, 1973) is a Chinese table tennis player who won eighteen world championships, including four Olympic championships between 1989 and 1997. She is regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport.
Early Life and Education:
Deng Yaping was born in Zhengzhou, Henan, on February 6, 1973. At a young age, Deng showed great interest and talent in table tennis. She began playing the sport at the age of five, and by the time she was nine, Deng had already won the provincial junior championship. Remarkably, at the age of just 13, she won her first national championship, showcasing her outstanding skills and determination.
Career:
